Dayton Air Show

On Saturday, June 23, Vault 6936 attended the Dayton Air Show with our robot. We were joined by three area FRC teams: Innovators Robotics, 3138, The R.O.C.K., 144, and Lakota Robotics, 1038. Also in attendance were a number of local FTC and FLL teams.

Vault spent the day helping kids and adults of all ages drive our robot in order to stack Power Cubes as high as they possibly could. Some first-time drivers even out maneuvered our own team members, building towers over 5 feet tall. We spoke to dozens of parents and children about the value of participating in a FIRST program, and about the incredible lessons we have learned throughout our time with the program.

The team had loads of fun at the event, between driving our robot around in crazy circles, looking at all of the avian marvels of engineering around us, and watching the insane stunts performed by pilots overhead. We hope to participate in more events like this in the future, so that we have a chance to inform hundreds of people about FIRST and its benefits.
